SEED Corp Wins $5,000 SBC Grant
SEED Corp. of Bloomington has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the 2004 SBC Excelerator Program. SEED Corp. will use the grant to equip Bloomington's SBDC Business Advisors with state-of-the-art mobile technology equipment. The equipment will help them work more effectively with clients in surrounding counties, including Lawrence, Brown, Jackson, Jennings, Decatur, Owen, Greene, and Bartholomew.

Bloomington's SCORE Chapter Moves
The local SCORE Chapter has moved offices. SCORE (Service Corp of Retired Executives) offers free and confidential advice to small businesses. The local chapter is now located at 216 W. Allen St., Suite 128. Counselors are available Wednesday through Friday. To schedule an appointment, call 334-2932.

Intuit Launches "Simple Start" Accounting Software
Looking for accounting software but feeling intimidated by the complexity of QuickBooks? Intuit, publisher of QuickBooks, has launched a simplified version of QuickBooks called "Simple Start." Oriented towards sole proprietors and other small shops, it may be the package for you if you need business accounting software with a minimum of bells and whistles. Attend the Simple Start class at the SBDC on December 14th to learn more (see listing in Events Calendar).

QuickBooks Year End Accounting Tip
Providing your accountant with your financial information has
been made easier through QuickBooks software. Simply create an "Accountant's copy" of your company file and deliver it to your accountant! Under the File menu, select "Accountant Review" and then "Create Accountant Copy." QuickBooks will do the work for you!
